CSA’s State College Premier League (SCPL) Fall 2013 season
wrapped on Sunday with Shingletown Athletic winning their 2nd SCPL crown. It was a hard fought battle against the Park
Forest Rangers but Shingletown prevailed
by the slim margin of 1-0.
This league is in its 4th season and completed Fall 2013 with 8 teams and over 100 players.
“We
knew going in it would be a hard fought battle. We've never beat the Rangers
and they are a great squad with a high work rate and smart coaches. And the wind wasn't helping anyone out
up there. In the end we stuck with
our game plan which was to keep it on the ground and make the Rangers chase. We definitely had a bit
of luck on our side on the goal but full
credit goes to our keeper and defense for keeping the clean sheet. They've had an amazing season
and were a massive force in our run to
the cup.”- Dan Meehan, Shingletown
Athletic Coach
